The City of Welland has found its new permanent Chief Administrative Officer - and they didn't have to look far.
Jessica Ruddell has been named to the role, after serving as Acting CAO since October. Ruddell joined the municipality in January 2024, and during her time with the City, she has developed a strong understanding of the organization and its strategic initiatives.
Mayor Frank Campion says Ruddell works closesly with both staff and the community, adding that he's confident in her ability to lead the City into the future.
As a result of this appointment, the City of Welland will begin recruitment for a new director of community services.
