An investigation is underway after a deadly house fire in Fort Erie this morning.
At around 8 a.m. on Monday, February 2nd, Emergency Services and Niagara Regional Police officers were dispatched to the area of Fairview Road and Englewood Avenue in Fort Erie following reports of a structure fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished by the Fort Erie Fire Department, but one person was found dead inside the garage.
NRP Spokesperson Stephanie Sabourin says detectives are assisting the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshall with the investigation. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
