An inquest into the death of 26-year-old Tyson Demers will begin later this month.
Demers died in hospital on October 25th, 2022, after being transferred from the Niagara Detention Centre.
The mandatory inquest will begin September 28th and is expected to last six days, with five witnesses expected to testify.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding Demers’ death, and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
