An inquest will be held into the death of Michael Diodati, Regional Supervising Coroner Dr. Ian MacPhee announced.
61-year-old Diodati, died on November 11, 2021, at Niagara Health’s Niagara Falls Hospital after being transferred from the Niagara Detention Centre.
The inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act and will examine the circumstances surrounding his death, with the jury able to make recommendations to help prevent future deaths.
Details on the date and location will be released later.
