After an outstanding rookie campaign for the Niagara IceDogs last season, Ryerson Edgar is already lining up some accomplishments this season.
In the first 15 games of this season, Edgar has notched himself 15 points, and was recently named to Team CHL for the CHL USA Prospects Challenge in December.
Being selected means he'll be representing the OHL, WHL and QMJHL against the best prospects from south of the border.
He says squaring off against the US is always a good test.
In addition to being named to Team CHL, NHL Central Scouting also recently gave Edgar an 'A' rating ahead of the 2027 draft - meaning he's a first-round candidate.
He credits a lot of his progression to working with former Toronto Maple Leaf Gary Roberts over the summer.
When asked who he likes to model his game after, Edgar says Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki comes to mind.
The IceDogs are back in action Thursday night at the Meridian Centre against the Brampton Steelheads. You can hear every IceDogs game this season, home and away, on Niagara's New Country 89.1 with Reece Doumani on the call.
