Four second period goals and strong Charlie Robertson goaltending lead the IceDogs to a 4-3 road win in Sarnia Friday night.
Scoreless after one, Ryan Roobroeck broke through on a great feed from Alex Hage. A Kevin He steal from behind the net set-up Ivan Galiyanov before the period was 7 minutes old. Less than two minutes later, Riley Patterson extended the advantage before a great individual effort from Ryerson Edgar helped Kevin He make it 4-0.
A late Sting power-play marker and third period even strength and short-handed goals made it close. Multiple shot shot blocks and outstanding work from Robertson held Sarnia at bay for the 4-3 win.
Krys Barch's side was outshot 36-23, including 17-4 in the third.
Next up, a home date with Barrie, Sunday afternoon with the broadcast underway at 1:45 on New Country 89.1 with the pre-game show.
