In honour of the Royal Canadian Legion's 100th anniversary this year, Hotel Dieu Shaver held a ceremony for them this week, marking the milestone and thanking them for their support.
David Ceglie, Hotel Dieu Shaver President & CEO, notes that, between several local branches and Ottawa command, the organization has given more than $400,000 towards patient care equipment.
Kristina Manzi, Executive Director of Hotel Dieu Shaver Foundation, was happy to see the Legion's hard work and dedication recognized.
The funds raised go towards essential equipment like specialty mattresses, patient lifts, and practice stairs.
