Holiday Fire Safety Tip #2 - TREE WATERING

Today is Day 2 of the 12 Days of Holiday Fire Safety, as we'll be focusing on ways to make sure you and your loved ones are as safe as can be this holiday season.

Today's tip has to do with tree watering. Julie Greenslade from the Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department says real trees can often dry out after they've been cut down - so keeping them watered is crucial.

Greenslade adds real trees should not be kept near sources of heat, as it can pose a fire risk.
