As summer outdoor activities ramp up, you're reminded to protect themselves from tick bites and Lyme disease.
Health officials say people can reduce their risk by wearing long clothing, using insect repellent, staying on marked trails and checking themselves, their children and pets for ticks after spending time outdoors.
Symptoms of Lyme disease can include fever, fatigue, headaches, joint pain and a bulls-eye rash.
Anyone experiencing symptoms after a tick bite is being urged to seek medical attention, with pharmacists also able to assess tick bites and provide treatment when appropriate.
