Health Canada approves nasal spray for allergic reactions

Health Canada has approved a new needle-free treatment for severe allergic reactions, marking a significant development in emergency care.

The nasal spray, known as neffy, delivers epinephrine and could be available in Canada as early as this summer for patients weighing at least 30 kilograms.

Experts say the treatment offers an alternative to traditional auto-injectors like the EpiPen, which has long been the only option.

Medical professionals note the new format may improve accessibility and encourage more people to carry life-saving medication.
