Family-owned farm specializes in grass-fed beef

When it comes to farming in the Niagara region, the Moore family has been around for not just decades – but centuries.
Today, husband and wife duo Larry and Alison Moore co-own Rosedene Acres, a family run farm in West Lincoln that uses age-old farming techniques to raise health herds of beef cattle.
The couple bought their farmland in 2003, just kilometres from where Larry grew up farming as well, meaning he has a strong connection to that land and farming in the area. When they bought the property, they quickly learned they weren’t alone. Cows were already there, and eating the grass on the property.
Fast forward to 2026, and both Larry and Alison work off-farm, while tending to their cattle when they aren’t working. It’s not an uncommon sight to see the couple in the barn once they’re home from work, often joined by one of (if not both) of their children, Lauren and Jonah.
Throughout the years, the popularity of grass/pasture-fed beef has only grown, with it being more widely available now at grocery stores – something Rosedene Acres is happy to continue setting the standard for.
