Police release suspect description in connection to Grimsby shooting

Niagara Regional Police continue to investigate a September 24 shooting on South Service Road near Kelson Road North, and are sharing new details to help identify the suspect and suspect vehicle involved.

The individual is described as a black male with a slender build, wearing black slim-fit track pants, dark shoes, white socks, a black hoodie over a white shirt, and carrying a blue reusable shopping bag. He was last seen running southbound on Kelson Road North.

The vehicle is described as a late 2000 to mid-2010 grey or silver sedan with dark tinted windows and a tinted sunroof. It has aluminum/grey rims and a large dent in the driver's side rear door. 

The victim is recovering in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police emphasize the shooting appears to have been targeted, and there is no further threat to public safety.

Detectives are urging anyone with information, dashcam, or security video from the area to come forward.
