The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce is urging the federal and Ontario governments to recognize tourism, arts and culture as key economic drivers.
The Chamber helped develop new policy recommendations through the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, calling for greater investment in the creative sector, stronger marketing support and updated policies to help businesses grow.
The recommendations also include increased funding for tourism and cultural programs, improved infrastructure and stronger workforce supports.
The GNCC says those changes would benefit Niagara's festivals, attractions, hospitality businesses, artists and film industry while helping the region attract more visitors and investment.
