Ontario is opening the waterways this Father’s Day weekend with a free fishing opportunity for residents.

On June 20 and 21, Canadians can fish across the province without a licence or Outdoors Card.

The Ministry of Natural Resources says it’s a chance for families to spend time together outdoors and enjoy Ontario’s lakes and rivers.

Officials remind anglers that all regular catch limits and fishing rules still apply.
