Ontario is opening up the lakes and rivers for free fishing ahead of Canada Day.

From June 27 to July 5, Canadian residents can fish anywhere in the province without a licence or Outdoors Card.

Officials say it’s a chance to get outdoors and enjoy the holiday week, but all regular catch limits and fishing rules still apply.
