Free fishing across Ontario this weekend for Family Day

Ontario residents can fish for free this Family Day weekend.

The province is waiving the need for a fishing licence or Outdoors Card from February 14th to 16th.

Natural Resources Minister Mike Harris says it’s a great chance for families to get outside and try ice fishing.

All regular catch limits still apply, and anglers must carry government-issued ID.

The province is also reminding people to check ice conditions before heading out.
