The Town of Fort Erie is developing a new Community Planning Permit System to guide growth in key areas over the next 25 years.
The plan will focus on designated strategic growth areas.
At the same time, the Town is creating urban design guidelines to help shape attractive public spaces and provide consistent direction for private development.
The work supports Fort Erie’s Official Plan, adopted in August 2025, by turning long-term policy into clear, practical rules.
