The Town of Fort Erie has become the first local municipality in Niagara to receive provincial approval for a new Official Plan.
The document will guide growth and development in the community through to 2051, covering everything from housing and employment to infrastructure and environmental protection.
Mayor Wayne Redekop says the approval gives the Town a clear roadmap for future growth while protecting what makes the community unique.
Officials say the updated plan also supports investment and long-term community planning across Fort Erie.
