Former prime minister Stephen Harper had his official portrait unveiled on Parliament Hill last night, and used the occasion to deliver an important message.
He urged the Liberals and Conservatives to take on current challenges together as the country stares down two potentially existential threats to its sovereignty: President Trump and separatist movements in Alberta and Quebec.
Harper said all other issues should be secondary to keeping the country together.
