The Fonthill Branch of the Lincoln Pelham Public Library reopened Monday, after a two-week closure for installation of new, accessible shelving funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
The upgrade replaces nearly 40-year-old units and improves accessibility for all visitors.
This marks the first step in a two-phase renovation that will expand and modernize the branch at 43 Pelham Town Square. Construction begins in spring 2026.
An open house will be held Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. to celebrate Ontario Public Library Week and launch a $2.5 million fundraising campaign to support the project.
