The Niagara Region is now under a flood watch.

That's according to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority, as officials have upgraded the previously issued flood outlook for the area.

In some areas of the Niagara watershed, particularly 20 Mile Creek in West Lincoln and near the escarpment, water levels remain high and near local flood elevations.

Tuesday evening's forecast could result in another 35-55mm of rain, which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
