Fort Erie firefighters are dealing with a fire at a former school near Crystal Beach.
Crews were called to the old Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School around 1 this morning. The building was in the process of being demolished to make way for 113 new homes.
It has been determined that the fire is due to an act of arson.
Detectives are requesting residents and businesses in the area of Ridge Road North to review any video surveillance footage and contact police if anything suspicious is observed.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Niagara Regional Police.
