FBI releases more information on Top 10 fugitive Ryan Wedding with Niagara ties

The FBI has released an update on one of the most wanted fugitives in the world, who has ties to the Niagara Region.

FBI Director Kash Patel led a press conference yesterday, giving an update in the case of Ryan Wedding - a former Canadian Olympic snowboarder turned drug kingpin with Mexico's Sinoloa cartel.

Wedding had previously been wanted for orchestrating the murder of a Niagara Falls man, while officials say he also ordered the murder of a federal witness in Columbia. Wedding is accused of orchestrating the murder of the witness through the use of a website called "The Dirty News," which has since been taken down.

The FBI says Wedding is responsible for most of the cocaine on Canadian streets, as well as 60 metric tons that's smuggled into Los Angeles every year.

In addition to the new information about Wedding and his operations, the FBI also upped the reward for information leading to his arrest to $15-million.
