A man from Niagara Falls, New York is facing charges following a fatal crash on the QEW in Niagara.
OPP say the incident happened yesterday morning when a tire came off a pickup truck, striking another vehicle. A 53-year-old driver was killed, and a 52-year-old passenger was taken to hospital.
The pickup’s driver has been charged with operating an unsafe vehicle and a detached part. The highway was closed for much of the day and reopened just before 7 p.m.
