Enbridge Gas Ontario and the Fort Erie Fire Department are teaming up to help make homes safer and eliminate fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths.
The Fort Erie Fire Department has received 252 combination smoke and carbon monoxide alarms through Safe Community Project Zero, a public education campaign led by the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council.
The initiative will distribute more than 14,200 alarms to residents across 75 Ontario communities.
This year alone, Enbridge Gas invested $450,000 in the program. Over the past 17 years, the company has provided more than 115,000 alarms to fire departments throughout Ontario.
