Easter Weekend R.I.D.E checks lead to 4 seven-day license suspensions

A series of R.I.D.E. spot checks on Easter weekend led to four drivers having their licenses suspended for 7 days.

On Saturday evening, April 4th, Niagara Regional Police Services stopped around 320 vehicles in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines to ask drivers if they had consumed any drugs or alcohol earlier. 35 drivers were required to provide a breath sample with four resulting in an 'alert' warning and having their license suspend for seven days.

Officers also issued tickets to 15 other drivers, with one having their car impounded for driving while suspended and another arrested for violating a provincial probation order.
