Douglas Memorial Urgent Care hours reduced this Saturday

Niagara Health says the Douglas Memorial urgent care centre in Fort Erie will open late this Saturday, November 1, from 4 to 8 p.m., due to a continued shortage of available physicians. Regular hours are expected to resume Sunday.

Niagara Health said the reduced hours are due to ongoing challenges in securing enough physicians to cover all shifts, despite continued recruitment efforts and incentive programs.

Residents are encouraged to check NiagaraHealth.on.ca for updated hours before visiting.

For non-emergency issues, residents are advised to use family doctors, walk-in clinics, pharmacists, or Ontario’s virtual urgent care service.
