The IceDogs scored four unanswered in the third to take down the Steelheads 4-2 in Brampton.
In the early going, Vladislav Yermolenko kept the shooters at bay. The IceDogs netminder stopped 8 of 9 to keep it close as the visitors from St Catharines trailed 1-0 after one.
Each team recorded 13 shots in the middle frame with the home side notching the only goal.
Down 2-0, with 8 minutes left, Ethan Czata converted a Kevin He feed to get the IceDogs on the board. Two goals in 30 seconds would prove to be the difference. Ryerson Edgar's 6th at 14:43 was a power-play deflection of a Ryan Roobroeck shot. Roobroeck would fire home the eventual game winner at 15:13 for his 14th of the year. Riley Patterson's 13th into the empty net closed out the scoring. Krys Barch's Dogs were outshot 35-33.
Sunday it's a home date with North Bay at the Meridian Centre. The pre-game show on New Country 89.1 gets underway at 1:45.
