IceDogs come up short in shootout against Colts

The IceDogs took 3 of a possible 4 points over the weekend after a 6-5 shootout loss against visiting Barrie.

Ethan Czata scored twice in a 24 second span in the first to finish twenty up 2-0.

After Barrie scored short-handed in the second, Riley Patterson victimized his old team to extend the advantage, Czata would complete the hat-trick before the break.

In the third, Ryan Roobroeck hit the back of the net before the Colts would come all the way back to send the game to overtimet.

In overtime, Barrie had the winner called back on an offside. The shootout would produce only one goal but that was enough for the 6-5 final. Krys Barch's team ends the weekend leading the Central Division. The next action is  pair of home dates before Thanksgiving, with Brantford in Thursday, New Country 89.1 will have the action with the pre-game show at 6:45.
