The Meridian Centre was treated to playoff hockey at it's best Tuesday night, as the IceDogs dropped game three 5-2 to the visiting Barrie Colts.
Noah Read scored his first of the playoffs, 28 seconds after the Colts opened the scoring. A late Barrie goal made it 2-1 after one.
Period two saw Riley Patterson notch his 2nd of the post-season just before the mid-way mark to even the count. A late power-play goal gave the visitors the lead at the break.
In the third, the IceDogs gave as good as they got but Barrie proved to be too much with an even strength and empty net goal.
The Colts outshot the IceDogs 36-18 and lead the series 2-1. Thursday night Krys Barch's side will look to even the best of seven in St Catharines. New Country 89.1 will bring you all the action beginning with the pre-game at 6:45.
