Ontario Road in Welland is now closed to through traffic for construction.
The closure runs from just west of Alberta Street to just west of Wright Street and is expected to last until about mid-July.
Crews are working on a sanitary trunk sewer and watermain upgrade.
Detours are in place, so follow posted signs and plan for a bit of extra travel time.
Access to businesses at Rose City Plaza is being maintained through designated entrances.
