City of Welland launches hub for neighbourhood associations

The City of Welland is encouraging residents to help shape their neighbourhoods through its new Neighbourhood Association Program.

The initiative gives residents the tools and resources to form neighbourhood associations, volunteer groups that bring neighbours together to strengthen connections, address local concerns, and lead community-building activities.

Associations can take on projects like clean-ups, community gardens, workshops, or safety initiatives in partnership with police and experts.

The City has launched a dedicated webpage featuring existing associations, application forms, and direct links to staff support. The program is open to all neighbourhoods across Welland.
