Two people are facing numerous firearm charges after Niagara police say they attempted to enter a downtown St. Catharines bar with an illegal firearm concealed on Friday.
Security guards denied entry to the two patrons at a bar on St. Paul Street before the pair fled and were later located and arrested by Niagara Regional Police.
Police say a loaded 9mm Glock 43 handgun was seized, and 26-year-old Giovanni Jervis and 20-year-old Aireonna Wilson, both of St. Catharines, are facing multiple firearm-related charges.
The charges have not been proven in court.
