CBSA shares tips for easy border crossing the 4th of July weekend

The Canada Border Services Agency is encouraging travelers to plan ahead before crossing the border this summer.

The agency says having travel documents ready, declaring all goods and checking border wait times in advance can help speed up the process.

CBSA officers welcomed more than 82 million travelers last year while also seizing thousands of kilograms of illegal drugs and more than 18,000 weapons and firearms.

Travelers are also being reminded not to transport cannabis, drugs or undeclared firearms across the border and to know the rules before they travel.
