CBSA reminds travellers to have documents ready, check border times ahead of U.S. travel

The Canada Border Services Agency is reminding travellers to plan ahead for the Victoria Day long weekend.

The CBSA says having travel documents ready, checking border wait times and declaring all goods can help speed up crossings and reduce delays.

Officials also remind travellers not to bring cannabis, illegal drugs or unauthorized firearms across the border.

The agency says more than 82-million travellers entered Canada last year, while officers also seized thousands of kilograms of illegal drugs and more than 17,000 weapons and firearms.
