If you take the Carlton Street bridge regularly, be prepared to start taking a detour.
Starting Monday morning at 7, until February 24th, Niagara Region has announced that Carlton St from Welland Canals Parkway to Read Road will be closed to allow the Seaway Authority to perform bridge maintenance.
Vehicles will be detoured north to the Lakeshore Road bridge crossing and Emergency Services will not have access during the full road closure.
