Car crash into Welland Home leads to arrest

A Niagara Falls driver was arrested Sunday night after crashing into a Welland residence.

On March 15th around 9:15 pm, Niagara Regional Police Service officers responded to the area of East Main Street and Golden Boulevard West where a Jeep Compass was found inside a single story home. The driver had fled on foot but was caught and arrested a short distance away.

27-year-old Ashdon Woolridge has been charged with the following offenses:

  • Impaired Operation of a Conveyance
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Operation While Prohibited
  • Impaired Operation of a Conveyance – Exceed Blood Alcohol Concentration
  • Fail to Remain at the Scene of an Accident

Police report no injuries to the occupants of the home or the driver.
