The City of Welland has finalized the sale of the final industrial lot in the River Road and Downs Drive Business Park.
Hudson Harper West & Co., operating as Canadian Metal Buildings, has purchased the 12-acre property on River Road and plans to relocate its corporate head office and manufacturing operations from Stoney Creek to Welland.
The company intends to build an 85,000-square-foot facility with room for future expansion, creating about 75 skilled trades jobs.
Construction is expected to begin soon, with operations planned for December 2027.
