Bitter cold and snow headed to Niagara

Warming centers are activated in Welland and elsewhere, as we experience bitterly cold arctic air.

Temperatures are falling and are expected to drop to an overnight low of minus 21. In the wind, it will feel like minus 30. Still bone chilling tomorrow.

Sunday there is snow on the way. Part of a storm expected to paralyze the U.S. North-East.

Here, the forecast suggests up to 10 centimeters accumulation with up to 20 depending on squalls.

Back to the cold; there’s a risk of frostbite. 10 minutes outside, unprotected, is all it takes.
