We're a month and a half out from Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, one of the most anticipated events in Niagara.

Thursday morning, city officials announced the music for the free festival, as Bleeker, JJ Wilde and Big Wreck have been confirmed as the Friday night headliners and Street Pharmacy, Bedouin Soundclash and Strumbellas will headline Saturday night concerts at HH Knoll Park in Port Colborne.

Mayor Bill Steele says there's something for everyone, even if you don't plan on attending the concerts.

This is the 48th year of Canal Days, an event that first started at the Port Colborne Museum and has since extended across the city's downtown core.

Steele says it's important to remember that none of this is possible without a dedicated team of volunteers.

This year's Canal Days is July 31st to August 3rd.
