28-year-old Shawn Krawiec facing several firearms-related offences
Niagara Regional Police have arrested a man after a shooting in Welland earlier this month.
On May 9th, police say a man was found with injuries at a home near Leaside Drive and McCrae Drive after a reported shooting.
28-year-old Shawn Krawiec was named a suspect by police, and was arrested last Thursday. He's been charged with aggravated assault, two counts of pointing a firearm and discharging a firearm, among other charges.
At the time of his arrest, police say Krawiec was found to be in possession of a firearm and was subsequently charged by the Toronto Police Service. Once his new charges are resolved, custody of Krawiec will be transferred to the NRPS for processing and charges related to the Welland shooting.
