The annual back-to-school drive was held last Thursday at six locations across the region, collecting more than 10-thousand pounds of food and diapers, along with nearly 38-hundred dollars in monetary donations.
The event also filled 126 backpacks with school supplies, water bottles and lunch bags for local students, while collecting formula and diapers for families with young children.
Organizers say the drive was made possible by 33 sponsors, eight trucks, five beneficiaries and support from the Niagara Falls and St. Catharines fire departments.
