Taking a flight from Toronto just got easier for residents of Niagara.
Air Canada has announced a partnership with Landline to extend its motorcoach service from Pearson International to the region, allowing passengers to book flights directly from Niagara District Airport.
Customers will check in there as normal, receive their boarding passes, have their baggage tagged, then hop on a coach bus to Toronto with most of pre-boarding issues already taken care of.
Dan Pilon, CEO of Niagara District Airport, says there's a growing desire for companies to invest in making travel easier to and from the region.
Mona Patel, Niagara Falls city councillor and member of the Airport Commission, says this service is an important step for strengthening tourism in the region.
Customers are now able to book flights starting June 15th directly from Niagara to their destination using the airport code YCM on the Air Canada app.
