The City of St. Catharines has a new face at the top of its finance department.
Adam Smith has been appointed Director of Financial Management Services, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, stepping into the role today.
Smith previously served as the City’s Associate Director of Financial Management Services and has more than 18 years of experience in municipal finance, including earlier roles with the City of Hamilton and Niagara Region.
Since joining St. Catharines in 2017, Smith has led several key initiatives, including modernizing financial operations and reintroducing development charges.
