5 Niagara residents facing drug-related charges

Niagara Regional Police say five people from Niagara are facing drug-related charges after an investigation into suspected trafficking in the Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln area.

Detectives began the probe in February and on March 10 arrested two people during what police say were mobile drug transactions in a vehicle.

Search warrants executed at three homes and a vehicle led to the seizure of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, oxycodone, cash and a spring-loaded knife.

The street value of the drugs is $78,140. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
