A 22-year-old Niagara-on-the-Lake man is facing impaired driving and fail-to-stop charges after a fatal hit-and-run collision involving a cyclist late Friday night.
Niagara Regional Police say officers responded to Concession Road 6 near Line 4 Road around 11:40 p.m., where the cyclist was found dead after the driver fled the scene.
Investigators later located the suspect vehicle and arrested 22-year-old Gavin Devries, who is charged with impaired operation causing death and failure to stop after an accident resulting in death.
Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash camera or surveillance footage from the area to contact investigators.
