Niagara Regional Police, in partnership with Halton Police, the MTO, and the Town of Lincoln, conducted a joint commercial vehicle enforcement initiative.
On Thursday, July 24, the operation was launched in response to community concerns about rising commercial vehicle traffic in Lincoln and West Lincoln.
The focus was on identifying vehicles bypassing the Vineland Inspection Station and ensuring compliance with Ontario’s road safety laws.
Officers inspected 25 commercial vehicles. Two were pulled off the road for major safety violations, two sets of plates were seized, and 21 tickets were issued for various offences.
