2 licenses suspended during Grape & Wine Festival R.I.D.E. checks

Niagara Regional Police says R.I.D.E. checks done during the Niagara Grape & Wine Festival have resulted in a pair of roadside suspensions.

Throughout Friday night, police stopped about 350 vehicles, which led to 20 drivers being asked to give a breath sample.

Two of them resulted in an 'alert', while notices were also given to a young driver under 22 and a G2 driver that had a breath alcohol rating over 0.

NRPS remind everyone that impaired driving remains the leading criminal offence causing death in Canada.
