The City of Niagara Falls has some extra cash coming its way for hitting its housing targets.
In 2024, Niagara Falls achieved 116% of its goal set by the provincial government, building 774 new units. This includes a mix of single homes, townhouses, apartments and long-term care spaces.
As a result, Niagara Falls received $2.8 million in Building Faster Fund funding, which will be used for projects such as 4500 Park Street, which is expected to deliver 362 new homes.
Elsewhere in Niagara, Welland reached nearly 114% of its target, while St. Catharines came in around 85%.
