Niagara Regional Police have wrapped up a targeted anti-shoplifting initiative in Niagara Falls, carried out in partnership with local retailers.
Over the course of two days in August, CORE officers worked alongside retail loss prevention staff, leading to the arrest of six individuals.
In total, 19 criminal charges were laid in connection with shoplifting offences.
The project recovered $570 worth of merchandise, returned to retailers in saleable condition, out of an estimated $3,000 in stolen goods.
